Severus Alexander, 222-235. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.27 g, 12 h), Antiochia, 223. IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander to right, seen from behind. Rev. PROVID DEORVM Providentia standing front, head to left, holding rod over globe in her right hasnd and scepter in her left. BMC 1062. Cohen 495. RIC 294. Flan crack and with some die rust on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the Joseph Markowitz Collection (1897-1981), brought to Israel in 1949 and kept in the family ever since.
